The Arkansas Fencing Academy recently installed two new metallic strips similar to those used at the national tournaments. The strips are made from metallic planks and offer fencers increased traction and more "cushion" compared to the old stainless steel strips. Neal has installed these two strips as a test; if they work out he plans to order two more.
The Arkansas Fencing Academy will be hosting the Junior Olympic Qualifier Tournament on Saturday, December 19, 2009.
